• Notes

  On his Marriage certificate John's occupation is listed as a Grocer. In 1865 he was the occupier of a house in Rutland St., Runcorn. owned by William Grigg Morris the father of his wife Emma Francis Morris. Emma's father later left this house to her in his will. John did not however appear on the 1861 or the 1871 census. On one of his children's births his occupation is a ship broker census 1851 Forest Field Row, Witton cum twambrook, Gt Budworth. son age 10. (51-552)
