  Mary was a Green Grocer by Trade, and worked at a shop that was owned by her parents. She was the youngest of seven children. Her Brother Arthur Counsell was a member of Al Capones Gang, He came over to Eccles on the Queen Mary. He brought his own American car with him. He died in Huddersfield. In 1958 After Moses died she moved to 56 Cannon Street, Eccles with her daughter Lottie where she died two years later.
