  Monumental Inscription (MC 2/13) Underneath lies the remains of Sarah wife of James Eachus of Middlewich, who departed this life August 26th 1816 aged 77 years. Also the said James Eachus who depaterted this life March 2nd 1830 age 74 years. Also Ann Eachus who departed this life February 28th 1862 aged 80 years. * James Lived at Holt 1776, Malpas 1776-1786, James & Sarah Webster were married by licence, he was a Cabinate Maker and she a 25 year old spinster of Malpas. By 1787 James was a Yeoman and his new wife Sarah Timmis was a 40 year old spinster from Middlewich. James was listed as Sargent James Eachus in the Muster Rolls of the Cheshire Militia 1781-1782, Company Capt Bennett.
