  Elsie died peacefully after a short illness on the afternoon of Tuesday 29th April 2003, at the Hinderton Mount nursing home, Neston, Cheshire. A funeral service was held on Wednesday 7th May at Landican Crematorium, Wirrel. In attendance was her great grandson Mathew Thomas born Friday 18th April 2003.
