- Jack, (69), son of Attwell Eachus and Sylvia Tina Johnson, graduated from Keenesburg High School in 1953 and was a long time resident of Brighton. Jack met his wife, Jean Heldt, while working at the Bridge Street 66 service station.
They were married March 15, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church in Brighton, Colorado.
Jack owned Greene Bros. Oil in Brighton and also had worked for Great Western Sugar Factory for 11 years. During that time he was a volunteer fireman. Jack purchased Greene Bros. Oil in 1970 which became the family business. They expanded to Ft. Lupton, Colorado in 1971, which was later named Highway 85 Service.
Jack was a member and officer at Zion Lutheran Church and a member of Petroleum Marketing Association. Jack's interests were his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He especially loved golfing and his pickups. Jack was survived by his wife; sons Jay (Rhonda) Eachus, Jerry (Peggy) Eachus; daughter Cindy (Casey) Brodkin; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren all of Brighton.
