• Notes

  William & Rachel moved to Green County, Missouri. In 1841 William joined a wagon train of traders with John Bidwell and emigrated to Calinfornia. He became a tradr, Blacksmith and leader of Wagon Trains from Missouri to California. he served as a Blacksmith for General Fremont on his expidition to California in 1848. Sanders died in Missouri at age 76. He crossed the plains more than 20 times.
