- John Lloyd Price and his second wife Elizabeth had at least five children. John was a farmer & Draper by trade. His first wife Charlotte was the daughter of Philip Dykins. she died shortly after they married. around the same time as John married Elizabeth he took over the running of the brewer business in Bryn Celyn, Wales, from his former father in law Philip Dykins. By 1881 the business was employing 13 men, Ten years later john had moved to Mertyn Hall in Whitford, where he was making tulle lace, The business became officially known as the St Winifreds Brewery Company in 1892, but had been known locally as the St Wininfreds Brewery for some years previously. The firm ceased to brew in 1928 at which time it's 40 licensed houses were sold at auction.
By the time John died he had become a piller of the local community, He had been High Sheriff for Flint in 1910. In 1903 he owned the first motor car registerd to a Holywell resident. His last abode was Glyn Abbott, near Holywell. At the time of his death he owned substantial property in the Area.
