    William migrated to the Pennsylvania colony in 1684, landing at Philadelphia, In March 2686 he purchased 50 acres of land from Thomas King, In October 1686 he purchased a further 450 acres in Birmingham Township, and in 1688 Purchased 400 acres. acquiring 1,000 acres in total. he made his will on 20th
    June 1699, proved on 1 Dec 1700, indicating he probably died in the late Autumn of 1700. In addition to his real estate, he left a modestly prosperous personal estate of ?367, which he divided equitably among his children. William emigrated to america on the Ship "Vine" and landed at Grubb's Landing with his wife and son, he left his 3 daughters in England to go later.
