  1. 1.  William EachusWilliam Eachus was born in June 1894 in Stoke Works, Worcs. England; died in 1969; was buried in Hanbury.

    Notes:

    Called up to army 2nd feb 1917, # 21559, height 5`10", reddish complection, gray eyes light brown hair. Coldstream Guards, weighing machine clerk
    Discharged from Army 4 july 1917 unfit for Military service.
    Medical report;
    Patient states that he has always beeb weak and unable to do any heavy work or play any strenous outdoor games. He has never walked more than three miles continnously and very easly becomes short of breath, appetite always very poor. Joined depot 3/2/17 and did two weeks full parades & then reported sick and was admitted into hospital with influenza. Recoverd from Influenze and then complained of pain in the Ears and Deafness. Ears examined and they cleared up under treatment both lymfanic membraines healthy. It was now noticed that he was unable to walk very far without becoming exausted. Cause unknown
    General condition;
    His limbs are very small & his muscles poorley developed. He always stands with shoulders bent & generaly has a fixed vacant expression, Chest measures 31"
    Heart; Size normal sounds distant and impaired, no murmer. BP 130 - 90, Lungs Expansion Poor Breath sounds feeble. PT is unable to walk any distance as he very soon becomes exausted, his appitie is poor in my opinion he is quit unfit for any military service.
