William H Eachus was a native and liflong resident of the "Great Valley" of Chester County, and the accommodating proprietor of the Malvern Livery Stables. William recieved his education in the common schools, and, after attaining his majority, purchased a grain threshing machine, which he ran successfully for eighteen years. At the end of that time, in 1880, he removed to Malvern, where he purchased the Malvern livery stable. He kept a good stock of saddle and driving horses and buggies and carriages, and he built up a first class and very remunerative patronage.
In Politics Mr Eachus was a republican, and believed in the principles of the party of Lincoln, Grant, and Harrison. Since going to Malvern he served as street commissioner, but was never anxious for any political office. His Livery business and other enterprises in which he was interested took up most of his time. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Malvern, and he ranked as one of the reliable and active citizens of his town.
William died of Dropsy after a six month illness
