    Ken joined the Admiralty in Plymouth in the 1930's and was working in Egypt at the outbrake of the 2nd world war. he met Brenda during 1944 at Thatcham and they married quickly in December 1944., just before Ken was posted to Australia. Brenda joined Ken in Australia after the war, threy returned to England in about 1948, when Ken was posted to London. In 1951 he was posted to Malta returning to London in 1956, was posted to Plymouth in 1961, returned to London 1963, was posted to Singapore in 1967, returned in 1970, was posted to Bath in 1975 and retired to live in North west Wiltshire 1978-1993. when he and Brenda bought the house in Wiltshire, Brenda claimed it was the 38th hoem of her married life.
