    In all three census Ann is living with Simon Williams Oakes & his wife, Jane (Kitchen) Oakes, Jane is sited as her niece. They were married 21st August 1836 At Middlewich [by Licence.] Simon was the son of James & Mary [Williams] Oakes of Cranage. James and Mary were married at Witton 19th March 1813, he 28, she 35. In a Regimental Book of Service In Canada, dated 20th April 1805 James is listed in the 82nd Foot Soldiers, as being age 20. 5ft 7? tall with a Fair complexion, Gray Eyes and Brown Hair. Born Middlewich, Cheshire. Occupation Labourer. Simon was baptised with his brother William Williams Oakes 4th March 1818. siblings: James Oakes bap 16th October 1814; George Robinson Oakes Bap 10th May 1819; Sabbath Williams Oakes, Bap 14 March 1821 all Baptised at Middlewich.

    The will of Ann Eachus late of Middlewich in the county of Chester deceased who died 28/2/1862 at Middlewich aforesaid. Was proved at the principals registery by Jane Oakes wife of Simon Williams Oakes of Middlewich, niece. Richard Plumbley of Newton by Middlewich Yeoman the executore. Effects value under ?300

    Underneath lies the remains of Sarah wife of James Eachus of Middlewich, who departed this life August 26th 1816 aged 77 years. Also the said James Eachus who depaterted this life March 2nd 1830 age 74 years. Also Ann Eachus who departed this life February 28th 1862 aged 80 years.
