The School removed to Rowley Hall in 1930 and ceertified for 40 girls, from 1933 it becaem Rowley Hall Approved School again for 40 girls. Magistrates had the power to send children between the ages of 7 & 14 years to "Industrial Schools" for the followinfg reasons: a) Any child apparently under the age of 14 found begging or recieving alms ( money given by charity to the poor) b) Any child apparently under the age of 14 found wandering and not having any home or visable means of Support, or in the company of reputed thieves. c) Any child apparently under the age of 12 who, having committed an offence punisgable by Imprisonment or less. d) Any child apparently under the age if 14 whose parents declare him to be beyond there control.
