Martha Rebecca Jane Churchill

Notes:

Martha Emigrated to Austrailia in 1864, and then sponsored her sister Mary Ann and then her brother John to join her. She had a hard life bringing up her three children on her own after her husband Clarence deserted them. She worked as a domestic all her life untill she died in 1901, suffering a horrible death after being hit by the tender of train number "99" on a station level crossing. .
Her great grand daughter is Judith Knox.

Inquest 7th Feb 1901. Martha was hit by a train on a station level crossing on the 6th February 1901. She was hit by the tender of trian number 99.
She was a widow age 63.

Martha married Clarence William Linden on 14 Aug 1872 in Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia. Clarence was born in C1843 in Kent, England; died before 1901 in Martha was described as a widow on her death in 1901. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
