Notes:

Arlie served in the Military in 1944/5 in U S Navy. assigned to USS Missouri;
He was present at the Japonese surrender. He died of cancer at the age of 60.

Charles Coslow, known as Charlie, hung himself in a barn on the family farm between Battle and Cardwell, Washington County, presumably due to his depression over his mothers illness ( she had been bed ridden for 2 years) during which time he had cared for her continuously.

" A large crowed attended the funeral of Mr Charlie Coslow at Battle Baptist Church on Sunday, conducted by the Rev George Trout of Bruners Chapel. The Burial was at Battle cemetery".
The funeral was attended by Charlies's Sister Mrs Sam Votaw and daughter Maggie of DeKialb, Illinois.

Charles married Mary Evelyn Ross on 10 Oct 1914 in Washington County, Kentucky. Mary (daughter of James Ross and Martha Ann Colvin) was born on 30 Jun 1882 in Washington County, Kentucky; died on 29 Jan 1971 in Lebanon, Kentucky; was buried on 31 Jan 1971 in Battle Cemetery,Washington County, Kentu. Known as Eva, Mary Evelyn Ross died at 3:10am at Mary Immaculate Hospital
from "infimities of age". Eva was amember of Mt Zion Church of Christ,
Washington County, Kentucky.

Henry was a Farmer at Battle, Kentucky at the "East End" of Washington County. He was a devout member of the Battle Baptist Church and was known as "Uncle Henry".
He was married to Mag at John Bruner's residence. The marriage was performed by Rev David Bruner and witnessed by Dick Baker and George Carrier. (from Marriage Cert)
He died after " a lingering illness of complicated diseases". The funeral was at Battle Baptist Church on a Sunday afternoon, held by the Rev T. E. Ennis of Mackville.

James fought in the civil war for the Grand Old Republic. He lived near Glens Creek between Battle and Williaburg in Washington County, Kentucky.

James married Martha Ann Colvin on 21 Jan 1868 in Washington County, Kentucky. Martha was born in Jun 1850 in Kentucky; died on 3 Feb 1929 in Cardwell, Washington County, Kentucky; was buried on 4 Feb 1929 in Glens Creek Cemetery, Willisburg. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
