Evans Eachus and his family moved to Philadelphia, where he is listed in
Gopsill's Philadelphia City Directory for 1894 as Evans Eachus Salesman,
house 2740 Mongomery Ave. Eber Eachus , Clerk, was at the same address. In
1895 Evans Eachus, Grocer, was at 679 and living at 674 N 39th Street, Wher
Eber Eachus, Clerk, was also listed. In 1879 Eber, Butcher, was at 808 Presto
in 1909 Evans and Iredell Eachus were at 647 N 33rd Sreet

Evans married Anna Mary Johnson on 23 Jan 1867. Anna (daughter of Charles Johnson and Mary Squibb Mancill) was born in 1846 in Pa; died on 12 May 1906 in Philadelphia; was buried on 14 May 1906 in Cumberland Cemetery, Lima, Pa. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Anna Mary's funeral was at 8pm May 114th at her late residence. She is buried
in Cumberland Cemeter, Lima, Pa. in section B, Lot 140

In his will Ebor left all his real estate and personal property to his son Evans Eachus. His executor was his son Evans Eachus and the witnesses were Isaac Yarnall and Edwin Thorp. "The said Ebor Eachus died in Edgmont Township, Delaware County 14th
October 1884 about 8:15 AM."
The Ebor Eachus was on Meadow lane and in 1976 was the residence of the Horace Johnson Family

Charles married Mary Squibb Mancill on 16 Mar 1842. Mary (daughter of Joseph Mancil and Mary Squibb) was born on 8 Mar 1820; died on 19 Mar 1901; was buried in Cumberland Cemetery, Lima, Pa. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

On 22 March 1792 Joshua Vaughan of Aston Township, Blacksmith, and Jane his wife sold to Evan Eachus of Edgmont Township, Saddler. a messuage and tract in Aston Township containing 100 acres for ?375. The deed was acknowledged and recorded 22 March 1792.
It appears that Evans was a shrewd land trader and he bought and sold a number of farms during his lifetime. In addition he was also a substantial citizen. His name appears frquently as a witness on will and on other papers. At the time of his death,
he owned three farms, 110 acres in Upper Providence on which he lived and which he left to his son Emmor, 125 acres in Edgmont which he left to his sonEder, who had operated it since 1832, and 78 acres in Thornbury, which his executors were instructed
to sell. In his will he made specific bequests to his daughters and grandchildren, which totaled $10,000. And he specified that the proceeds from the Thornbury farm were to be divided equally among his heirs.
Evans owned the land in Upper Providence when he married Hannah. He appears on censuses 1800-50. The farm was at the upper end of Upper Providence next to Edgmont Township, with the Bishops as neighbours. The farm remained in the family untill 1914.

Evans married Hannah Russell on 31 Oct 1791 in Chester County Monthly Meeting. Hannah (daughter of William Russell and Susanna Griffith) was born about 1770 in Chester County, Pa. US; died on 3 Nov 1836 in Middletown; was buried in Old Friend Burial Ground, Middletown. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
