    Sarah believed that her birth certificate was actually that of a child who had been born and died the year before her, and her mother used the same certificate for her!!, she supposedly had brothers and sisters who died from smallpox.
    Sarah met Lawrence through his sister who was in service with her, Later Sarah threw him out after a neighbour reported that she had seen him speak to a woman at a bus stop, For some months he hung around and gave sweets to this children outside school. Sarah left 124 Margaret St with the children and went to live on a farm in Tintwistle. It was a long walk to school especially during the winter, so they returned to Manchester lodging briefly in Ellesemere St, Gorton before moving to 51 Fleet street. Abbey Hey,
