Notes:

His obit. Is in the Leigh Chronicle, Jan 21st, 1860. It lists him as one of the "original orange men." In the obit. He is described as a hard worker who carried his nails on his back daily to Bolton & Manchester. Since the area was settled by French Hugenots, and one of their daughters was a silk weaver, I have wondered if they were originally Hugenots. There are many Molyneux families in this area, so 'tis only a speculation. He also appears in the book about the history of Atherton, which was published prior to 1978.
