William Sanders

Notes:

William & Rachel moved to Green County, Missouri. In 1841 William joined a wagon train of traders with John Bidwell and emigrated to Calinfornia. He became a tradr, Blacksmith and leader of Wagon Trains from Missouri to California. he served as a Blacksmith for General Fremont on his expidition to California in 1848. Sanders died in Missouri at age 76. He crossed the plains more than 20 times.

William married Rachel Wickersham on 14 Sep 1837 in Park County, Indiana, America. Rachel (daughter of Daniel Boone Wickersham and Susannah Martin) was born in 1817 in Mercer County, Kentucky, America. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
