Chester Minutes: 13.7.1753 Esther Eachus and daughter Sarah, certif from Goshen. 13.6.1755 Esther Eachus wife of Enoch , certif to Newark with children William and Sarah. Esther Married Enoc Eachus shortly before Dec 16th 1745, Because on that date it was reported to the Goshen Monthly Meeting that Esther Evans had been married before a Priest to one who was not a member of the Society of Friends, and two Friends were appointed to deal with her. On 20th Jan 1746 the case of Esther Evans was continued at her request, On May 19th 1746 it was reported that Esther Eachus is delivered of a child too soon after marriage. A Testimony against her was prepared and she was disowned as a member of the Meeting. however, in 1752, Esther Eachus produced an " Acknowledgement" ** to Goshen Meeting for her outgoing, which was accepted and she was reinstated as a member. On 16 Aug 1753, Esther Eachus requested a Certificate of removal to Chester Monthly meeting, which was signed 21st Sept 1753. Esther Evans was the daughter of Thomas Evans of Goshen Township, Chester County. who in his will dated 5th Oct 1763 left his daughter Margerat, wife of William Bane a clock and case and ¹50. To Son David Evans ¹10, To his Daughter Esther Haines Eachus, wife of Enoch Eachus, he left ¹50. All the remainder he left to his two daughters, Margaret and Esther. In a Codcil dated 20h June 1765 he reduced Davidd legacy to 1/- and gave ¹10 to his daughter Esther Eachus. The will was proved 25th March 1766.
